Most of you,
because of lack of this education,
<Light on Yoga> misled you.
I am sorry to say this.
Let me tell you,
<Light on Yoga> was not written for students.
He did not write for his students,
that is why he never used <Light on Yoga>
for teaching his students.

你们大部分人，
因为缺乏（瑜伽的）教育，
《瑜伽之光》其实在误导你们。
我很遗憾这样说，
让我来告诉你们，
《瑜伽之光》不是为瑜伽的学子写的，
他不是为他的弟子写的，
那就是为何他从来没有用《瑜伽之光》去教他的弟子们。

He never said refer to <Light on Yoga> when I am teaching;
because otherwise it would be a textbook for his teachings.
He wrote for the world at large.
Therefore there is a regiment,
Trikonasana, techniques, 
8, 10 techniques, 
that is why many of you consumed that way,
that is why lot of dogmatism has got in Iyengar Community.

他从未说过，
“当我教学时在参考《瑜伽之光》”。
因为否则，
那会是他教学的一个课本了。
他是为世界范围的普通人写的，
因此才会有指令，
有三角式的技巧，
8到10个技巧，
那就是为何你们会用那样的方式去消费着它，
那就是为何在艾扬格瑜伽这个大家族里
会存在那么多的教条主义。

It has been prescribed, 
it has been described,
it has been shown.
And for the benefit of these Iyengar teachers, trainers,
they proclaimed it as magnum opuses book of Iyengar Yoga.

它一直被当作“药方”，
它一直被阐述着，
它一直被炫耀着，
为了这些艾扬格瑜伽老师们、训练师们的利益，
他们声称它是艾扬格瑜伽的艺术杰作。

But when he was teaching you, 
<light on Yoga >had really no influence in his teachings.
When he taught,
nothing!
Or not even point of 00000001 percentage of it
was based on <Light on Yoga>.

但当他在教你们的时候，
《瑜伽之光》对他的教学真的没什么用，
当他在教学的时候，
完全没用!
甚至连它的千万分之一,
都没有基于《瑜伽之光》!

But for the conveniency,
they proclaimed it as magnum opuses book of Iyengar Yoga,
because that was advantage to them.

但是为了他们自己的便利，
他们声称它是艾扬格瑜伽的艺术杰作，
仅仅因为那会给他们带去好处。

I am sorry for this;
I am sorry to say this.
If I not say, 
nobody would have said this;
they could have barely said this also.
But this is a matter of fact.
That is why whatever has happened has happened,
which should not have happened.

这样说，不好意思了；
我很遗憾这样说。
但如果我不说，
没人会这么说；
他们也可能会说，
但这就是事实，
那就是为什么
要来的总归会来的，
但那未必是该来的。

Keep your hand on the heart and say， 
that Guruji followed <Light on Yoga>
and taught shirshasana, 
taught these standing poses,
taught these back bends, 
taught remedial,
you know remedials are not taught based on <Light on Yoga>.

你们可以用手摸着心口去说，
艾扬格大师是否在按照《瑜伽之光》
去教头倒立，
去教这些站姿，
去教疗愈，
你们很清楚疗愈根本没有基于《瑜伽之光》去教。

So it was meant for not Iyengar students,
or not students nor in Iyengar system,
but those who are outside the radius of Iyengar system,
written for them.

所以那不是给艾扬格学生的，
也不是给艾扬格体系的学生，
而是给艾扬格体系之外的那些人。

I have been saying this very often, 
as often as I can,
but don’t misunderstand what I am saying…
Have a deeply thought process over it, 
not biased.
Find out how often Guruji taught you based on <Light on Yoga>.
Because we are making it as a textbook,
and followed this, and it is supposed
that everybody in Iyengar System
go on following <Light on Yoga>…
You imagine what will happen to Iyengar Yoga？

我经常提到这个，
尽我所能经常性地提起它，
但不要误解我所说的话…
对它要有一个深度的思考，
不要带着偏见之心去思考这个问题。
去探寻一下，
艾扬格大师经常基于《瑜伽之光》去教你们吗？
因为我们在把它当作课本，
按照它去教，
每个艾扬格体系的人都该这么教，
继续遵循《瑜伽之光》去教…
你能想象那会给艾扬格瑜伽带来什么吗？

So any asana has open architecture,
and <Light of Yoga>gives you impression
that it is a closed architecture, 
and not an open architecture.

任何一个体式都有其开放的架构，
而《瑜伽之光》却给你这样的印象：
那是一个闭合的架构，
不是开放的架构。

It is not logically when you study the book,
any asana comes in the first of the 300-week,
any asana comes for cancer.
How can it be identical？
How can it be the same asana?

所以当你学习这本书时，
那不符合逻辑性，
即任何一个体式都会出现在300-周的课程当中，
任何一个体式都可以为癌症服务，
怎么可能是一样的呢？
怎么可能是同一个体式呢？

Constipation, shirshasana；
chronic diarrhea, shirshasana；
it cannot be the one same shirshasana,
it has to be customized.
So in book form,
it cannot be really mentioned.
Diarrhea shirshasana;
constipation shirshasana,
or complex.
It cannot be in a book form,
it is a direct teaching.

便秘了？头倒立吧；
拉肚子了？头倒立吧；
那怎么可能会是同一个头倒立呢？
每一个都必须要个性化吧？
所以在书本的形式当中，
就不大可能真地会涉及这个层面.
于是，
便秘了，头倒立去；
拉稀了，头倒立去；
或者二者混合型疾病，头倒立去…
而直接的教学是不可能出现在书本里的…
